Alfred M. Landon oral interviews
Alfred Mossman Landon, 1887-1987, a prominent Kansas Republican, served as Governor of Kansas from 1933-1937 and ran an unsuccessful campaign for the United States presidency in 1936. This collection includes audiotapes and transcripts of interviews with Governor Landon by Donald R. McCoy and Louis George Griffin from 1975-1976.

Citizens petitions requesting that Balie Peyton Waggener run for Kansas Senate
The collection consists of petitions of August 16, 1911 which were presented to Mr. Waggener upon his return from Rochester, Minn. where he had undergone a serious operation. Accounts relate that he was greeted by hundreds of children who lined the streets to his home. The petitions were signed by the residents of Atchison County and mounted on cloth to form a scroll.

Correspondence from Marcus Parrott to his Dayton, Ohio family members
The collection contains 34 letters written by Marcus Junius Parrott to his Dayton, Ohio family members. The letters date from April 7, 1851 to April 28, 1862, and are arranged chronologically. Also included in the collection are a brief handwritten statement by [Laurette?] Parrott [Irvin?] regarding the collection content, and an offprint of a published 1865 sermon by Phillips Brooks, delivered at the time of Abraham Lincoln's death.

This collection comprises personal and business correspondence, receipts, and legal documents from 1826-1907. Also included are architectural plans and instructions for the building of a schoolhouse and a manuscript plat of Highland, Kansas, dated 1855.

Henry John Weltmer papers
